Busily behind the scenes, a small group of dedicated volunteers have been working hard to make sure the former Cartwheel Club building on Huddersfield Road gets a new lease of life. Their project has been included in the Elland Future High Streets bid and has been awarded almost £2 million for a refurbishment and extension.
The Cartwheel club closed in 2020 as the Governments Pandemic response went into full swing.
The good news is that the building which is being re-branded as Elland Community Hub should be ready late March 2024.
